Corfu is the northernmost of the Ionian Islands, which lie off the west coast of mainland Greece. Corfu is often said to be the greenest of all the Greek Islands. Corfu has a vast scenery of fragrant citrus groves, colourful wild flowers and swathes of cypress trees.
Long popular with British holidaymakers, Corfu's resorts are scattered around the island, with beaches ranging from gently sloping, golden sands, to sleepy secluded coves all lapped by the clear waters of the Ionian Sea.
If you like an active holiday then Corfu can offer water sports, golf and tennis, and the Aqualand Park and many bars, restaurants and nightclubs provide plenty of entertainment for everyone.
No holiday in Corfu would be complete without visiting the cosmopolitan Corfu Town, whose narrow streets and lined with elegant, pastel-coloured buildings. Wondering around Corfu Town will reveal its Italian, French and British influences, hinting at a turbulent past when the island was occupied by various foreign forces. After climbing upto the spectacular fortress that dominates the town, round off your visit to Corfu Town with a coffee and a traditional Greek pastry on the famous Liston esplanade.

Paleokastritsa
Paleokastritsa is one of Corfu's best known beauty spots, where pine-clad cliffs look out over small bays of golden sand or fine pebbles, shelving into crystal clear waters. Overlooked by the 13th-century ruined Venetian Castrizza San Angelo from which the resort takes its name, Paleokastritsa today covers a large area with holiday accommodation scattered around among the olive groves on the hillside, and along the winding coastal road.
Whether you are looking for stunning scenery or wonderful beaches, a historic clifftop monastry or a good choice of bars and tavernas, and even a disco, you won't be disappointed with a holiday to Paleokastritsa. "Paleo" has it all ! Check out our fantastic range of holidays to this beautiful area of Corfu.
Perama
Set on the lush green slopes that tumble down to hidden coves and crystal clear waters, Perama is another excellent choice if you want to get away from it all. Surrounded by olive groves and woodlands, this pretty holiday resort offers peace and tranquility but also easy access to the livlier parts of Corfu.
Sidari
Sidari in Corfu is a long standing holiday favourite with families and singles alike, thanks to its excellent beaches and relaxed atmosphere. The main beach is a two-mile curve of sand and shingle, with safe swimming and a good selection of watersports. Beyond the small harbour, and the small creek known as the Canal D'Amour (single women will allegedly meet the man of their dreams if they bathe here !), a series of sandstone coves has been eroded into wierd rock formations. Each cove forms a natural swimming pool with its own small sandy beach, and warm shallow water - kids will love it here !
Sidari's main street is lined with shops and a wide choice of tavernas and bars. After sunset, it is lively in Sidari without going over the top, and there are also a few good disco's. Sidari is a good holiday destination choice for people of all ages.
St John
With its handful of bars and tavernas scattered along a collection of small bays, St John, provides a quiet base from which to explore the beautiful island of Corfu. Nearby Benitses offers lots of good nightlife and Corfu Town is only a short bus ride away.
