Customer comments about the White Rocks Hotel

I went to the white Rocks Hotel in Kefalonia for a week at the end of August with my boyfriend. We booked with Discover the Greek Islands. The island is really beautiful and also the location of the hotel is really good as it is on its own beach near the resort of Lassi, and the airport is only about 15 minutes away.
The rooms at the hotel are comfortable and clean although I would only rate the hotel as 3 star and not 4 star. Our room was cleaned every day and we had fresh bedding and towels every day as well. All the staff were polite and friendly.
We were staying on a half board basis and the food was quite good although we missed breakfast a few times as it was nothing special. The evening was a four course meal and of reasonable quality.
On Kefalonia it is worth hiring a car so you can explore the full scenic beauty of the island. A day trip or longer to Ithaka is also recommended.
The private beach was lovely if a little small but there are 2 large public ones within a 5 minute walk and all communal areas are very clean and well kept.
The swimming Pool was really good and there was no problem getting a sunbed. The pool is handy for the good bar which also did food and has a great view over the private beach area.
We really liked this hotel. Its great for a quiet holiday but if you are looking for a lively holiday then you need to look elsewhere.
Information about the resort of Lassi and the island of Kefalonia
Lassi is situated on the South West of the island with five sandy bays that shelve gently into the cool clear water, making this the ideal resort for families and beach lovers.
Lassi has some of the best beaches on the island including Makris Yialos, which also boast a good selection of water sports.
Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands and boasts the third largest mountain range in Greece which is now a national park and home to wild ponies, golden eagles, ospreys and other protected species. With spectacular scenery and magnificent beaches this beautiful island was once voted tenth in a world scenic beauty league.
There is really little wonder why most visitors to Kefalonia choose to repeat the experience time and again. Marine wildlife in the area includes dolphins, rare monk seals and the loggerhead turtle.
With excellent tavernas and a variety of resorts and accommodation and you have the perfect holiday destination for couples, families and singles who really appreciate scenic beauty.
