This hotel is an excellent family holiday destination.
The Kernos Beach Hotel is 4 star hotel and is in an oasis of gardens, built in extensive grounds right on Malia's lovely sandy beach. The hotel complex consists of a main building and various bungalows that are surrounded by the lush green gardens.
Located midway between Malia and Stalis, each approximately fifteen minutes walk away, but close to many tavernas and shops. The ideal location for a relaxing holiday by the lovely sandy beach of Malia.
The rooms in the main building are modernly designed and very comfortable.
All rooms have private bathroom, terrace or balcony, direct dial telephone, air conditioning (main system, June/September, evening hours), music programme, hairdryer, refrigerator and Sat. TV in all rooms.
The bungalows in the various buildings are also modern in design and comfortable and are fully equipped with the same amenities as the rooms in the main building.
Among the facilities at the complex, there are various spacious lounge areas and a bar with a large veranda overlooking the garden and the sea.
The Restaurant is divided into various levels, with a large veranda in the garden overlooking the swimming pool and the sea, where it features a buffet for breakfast, where lunch is also served.
For dinner a choice of various salads hors dŽoeuvres and desserts are offered at the buffet. In addition, soup, the main dish (of your selection) is served.
At the Fish Taverna located next to the sea, a wide range of seafood and fish are available.
At the Cafeteria situated on the Eastern end of the hotel, on the beach, and with a view to the sea, enjoy a coffee or tea with a choice of local and international sweets.
At the Kafenion located in the small square and in the shade, enjoy a cup of Greek traditional coffee.
There is also a mini-market. In the lounge area, there is a Jewelery Store and a Boutique available.
There are two swimming pools, one of size 20 x 40 Mts. and a smaller one that is shallow for the children.
Two tennis courts and a tennis school. Mini Golf, Ping-Pong and volleyball.
At the beach, there are pedaloes, and water skiing.
In addition there is a billiard available in the large lounge area.
The beach is sandy and approximately 300 meters long with shallow water.
There are various weekly events such as Barbecque Night, Greek Night, Dancing Night with Live Orchestra etc. The animation team organises recreational activities for guests and their children consisting of a light daily programme.

Information about Malia
Malia has one of the best sandy beaches on the island. Malia is a fun loving and extremely lively resort. Divided into two distinctly contrasting parts, the old village with its traditional tavernas and typical old village style houses provides a relaxed atmosphere.
The newer part of the town has developed along the road leading down to the beach. With cafes, lively bars, discos, shops and tavernas lining the road, this resort comes alive at night and is ideal for the young and lively.
