This is the second time for us at this hotel and we have booked both times with "Discover the Greek Islands", who I have to say are very helpful and the prices are excellent.
The rooms at the Cretan Malia Park are quite large and cleaned daily. This hotel is perfect if you want a quiet relaxing beach holiday. This hotel is right on the beach but it is about 20 minutes by taxi to Malia, although unless you are in your early twenties you probably won't want to visit Malia.
The evening entertainment at the hotel is pretty awful so we tended to go to one of the local restaurants even though we were on half board.
The hotel grounds are huge and well looked after and the staff are polite and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel there was a free bottle of wine and fruit in our room.
The food at the hotel is good and I have no complaints at all.
Information about Malia
Malia has one of the best sandy beaches on the island. Malia is a fun loving and extremely lively resort. Divided into two distinctly contrasting parts, the old village with its traditional tavernas and typical old village style houses provides a relaxed atmosphere.
The newer part of the town has developed along the road leading down to the beach. With cafes, lively bars, discos, shops and tavernas lining the road, this resort comes alive at night and is ideal for the young and lively.
