We have been to the Iberostar Kerkyra Golf twice in the last 4 years. We are a couple in our 60's and we enjoy the views from this hotel and the quiet location. This is an impressive looking hotel in large grounds. We normally visit out of the main holiday season and I have to say that most people are of a similar age to us and there are many other nationalities apart from British people. I understand that there is more families visiting in the main summer season.
The rooms at the Iberostar Kerkyra are quite large. They are very clean and comfortable and paying extra for a seaview is worthwhile as you get view views and you can also watch the cruise ships arriving. There is a daily maid service and whilst the rooms look a little old they are kept very clean.
The food at the Kerkyra Golf is very good. There is plenty of variety and there is plenty of it. The entertainment at the hotel leaves a bit to be desired. If you like quizes you will be fine but the other entertainment is a bit below standard, but we often find that is the case in many hotels we visit.
The hotel is fairly isolated so there is nowhere you can really walk to from the hotel, but there is a regular bus service that runs from outside the hotel and it only takes about 20 minutes on the bus to Paleocastritsa, which is well worth a visit. Also the swimming pool is nice and there are plenty of sunbeds to be had around the pool.
The Iberostar Kerkyra Golf in Alykes is not the best hotel in the world and we will try somewhere else next time but it's not a bad hotel at all and it's well worth considering if you are wanting an above average hotel on a holiday to Corfu.
